Opener - obvious spoilers

With the flip of Clockwork Angels and Anarchist's set orders last night, does this mean that...

A) The anarchist is now the permanent opener, and CA will rotate with the wreckers

B) the wreckers is gone

C) Clockwork will be the opener on the wreckers dates

D) the wreckers will open the wreckers dates

E) something else entirely.

Maybe there's a Set D. If so, maybe Clockwork Angels will open it. Then with an ABCD pattern, you have two CA back-to-back, then two Anarchist back-to-back.

I guess there will be some tweaking in the orders and choices of songs until the boys are settled on what setlists, A, B and C are supposed to mean. I´ve been saying this a lot, but it could be that they experiment all the way through the last show of this tour and we get 32 unique setlists this time. Who knows? I won´t be able to attend any shows of this tour, but would love it if that was the case.

King Crimson just did a short tour where they played mostly the same songs each night (rotated in/out a couple) but varied the order every night so each show was unique. I can't see Rush doing that for the entire show due to lighting/set changes but very cool if they keep it fluid enough so that every night is special.

Man I wish they would drop The Anarchist and add Test 4 Echo...

That would suck! Anarchist is a great tune!

Yeah that would be cool.

No.

They're not going to drop the best song from their latest album.

That! Anarchist is definitely the best tune from CA!

There's no room for The Wreckers on this tour...it's THE most bland song on CA.

Maybe it's secret code for "This one Wreckers any set it's in!"

Well It Looks like I Have a chance to get either Set A or set D. I am more pumped up knowing I have a chance to shit my pants and wet my self because will be "losing it" if they play that song in St, Louis.

I'd take TFE over any of the CA's stuff.

I'll give you the production on T4E >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Clockwork Angels.

At the time it just seemed worse because it had to follow CP's masterful production, probably their best-sounding album still.

I don't know...but if I get the 'C' setlist I'll wet my pants!

You better talk to Losingit. He's been having a leakage problem lately too. Especially since he found out Losing It is scheduled to be sung during this tour.

That's okay. Doubt it would have mattered. :)

I was surprised when they opened the show (and tour) in Tulsa with "Clockwork Angels". It's not one of my favorites and it's not a bad song, it's just not a strong opener in my opinion. Considering the theme of the night is a retrospective, reverse order celebration of their career, I think "Headlong Flight" should be the opener because of the lyrical content. Out of the two choices so far, I prefer "The Anarchist" but would like to see them move "Headlong Flight" into the opening slot.

Plus per my earlier post on the dream set thread, I wish they would represent every album and the best way to do that would be to cut down the CA and S&A songs down from 5 to 2.

I think The Anarchist will be the regular opener and Clockwork Angels and The Wreckers will get rotated every other show. The Anarchist is a much better opener since it's an uptempo song throughout. CA is a great song but doesn't quite have the upbeat sound an opening song should, it's fine as a second or third song.
