Segue Myles
No one's mentioned Neurotica yet? Or You Bet Your Life? both horrid but Neurotica is saved by a very underrated guitar solo. Mick Dude, the guitar solo is NOT a lyric

Hemispheres4Echo
In a dog's lifeA year is really more like sevenAnd all too soon a canineWill be chasing cars in doggie heaven It seems to meAs we make our own few circles 'round the sunWe get it backwardsAnd our seven years go by like one Dog years...It's the season of the itchDog years...With every scratch it reappears In the dog daysPeople look to SiriusDogs cry for the moonBut these connections are mysterious It seems to meWhile it's true that every dog will have his dayWhen all the bones are buriedThere is barely time to go outside and play Dog years...It's the season of the itchDog years...With every scratch it reappearsDog years...For every sad son of a bitchDog years...With his tail between his ears I'd rather be a tortoise from GalapagosOr a span of geological timeThan be living in these dog years In a dog's brainA constant buzz of low level staticOne sniff at the hydrantAnd the answer is automatic It seems to me As well make our own few circles 'round the blockWe've lost our sensesFor the higher level static of talk

Digital Dad
Neil was not at his best in the 90's. I dont know why. Its like he seemed to not care as much about the words. Who knows why. A lot of it is clumsy and trite. Maybe he was trying to hard to make them more straight forward and accessible.
bluefox4000
Yea Neil phoned shit in in the 90's. He just wasn't there lyrically and it was painful. Mick

beneathbetweenbehindyourmom
Take a Friend has the dumbest lyrics, but I still love the song. I gotta say that Clockwork Angles as a whole has some of Neil's worst lyrical content... Maybe I'm still just biased because before it was released Neil stated in an interview that it was to be his greatest lyrical achievement... and it definitely wasn't. Xanadu
Take a Friend has the dumbest lyrics, but I still love the song. I can agree with you there. Like the song but the line that stuck out the most to me in a bad way was, "It makes you feel so good." Really? Rush Fan in Michigan
"Body Electric" for sure. "... clenching plastic fist!" And I don't like "Faithless" at all. This will get me in trouble, but I like "Half the World" and I love "Big Wheel." I like that we all love the same band, and love -- and not -- different songs.
