Blue J Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 High Water But not because I dislike Tai Shan; I love it. But as a musician, I am a drummer first and foremost- and High Water has more interesting things going on rhythmically, to my mind. 1
Cyclonus X-1 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Tai Shan, but just by a bit. They're both pretty good.
Segue Myles Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Both songs are underrated, from an album already highly underrated. Patient listeners will find many rewards from HYF. 3
Segue Myles Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Neither... Of course, yiur idea of underrated Rush is the flippin debut. Actually...to be fair I think so too...once I was reminded how young they were.
LedRush Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 High Water is the Rush song title with the most lost potential...I thought it was about something else completely. I actually like Tai Shan. The intro is a bit too much, but it sets a nice picture in your mind's eye and tells a nice little story. 2
laughedatbytime Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 This is a great question. If it was on the Christopher Cross forum. 2
Blue J Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Don't take Me Alive. Mick You fun-nee, baby! :P 1
Segue Myles Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Tai Shan. I love it! Good lad! Now...lets start bashing Hems in a new tread...spice things up boi! 1
Disembodied Spirit Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Run Willie Run beats either of these songs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROwAgbuLbpk
EagleMoon Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 If prefer not to listen to either one. Bottom of the barrel for me. They're both pretty low quality songs. 3
Lorraine Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Don't take Me Alive. Mick One of my favorites. 1
rocket ignites Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 High Water...mixed with shampoo as I wash my 80's mullet.
bathory Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I actually like high water more than some of the "fan favorites" on HYF. I do think tai shan's pretty pleasant but it's not one I listen to often. last time I heard it I was drinking with a friend and played it as a joke.
