Also, Japanese bonus track Reeferman sounds like a lost Miles Davis recording from his jazz fusion era, and it should have been the official closing track!

So, St. George & The Dragon's piano motif & Billy Joel's Allentown.....hmmmm.....naughty Billy.

Segue, loved your Amazon review of the boxset.

Billy Joel doesn't even write songs now and hasn't since the early 90's. He said it ruined his relationships because he'd be in his mancave writing songs and not thinking about anything else at all. it might be because he knows he's shit now too and he can't make a bean from new music.

Thank you! When I wrote that review I had no idea how important the band would become to me in the long run!

They were on different labels. Actually to be honest they would both fit a box set from Kingdom to XIV better. I feel Toto changed dramatically after The Seventh One. Became more ballsy.

Yes! I took a while to enjoy Mindfields, but The High Price Of Hate sick. Rare track The Spanish Steps Of Rome should never have been cut.

Hey Segue, you might be interested that I worked with TOTO in 2006 creating a series of mini-docs for the making of the Falling In Between album.

Here's part 1

Wow!

That's amazing! Is this documentary available anywhere to purchase?

No they were originally on the old Toto website but now you can find all the parts on my YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/user/greenvinyldream/videos

Scroll back to about 6 years ago and you will find them. There are 10 parts plus 3 extra clips featuring Mike Porcaro. My girlfriend was their manager for about 20 years which is how I got the gig.

It is way too long.

I also think it has the worst flow of any Toto album. It just feels so...thrown together.

Not saying the songs are not good it just doesn't mesh as well as, say, Turn Back or Falling In Between.

(Had to throw in Turn Back...it's my mission to never forget this album ever again!)
