I know some won't like this but it's true. I'm putting Heart. In the 80's they made some great GREAT AOR.

love those wilson sisters.

I would say Strangeways 'Walk In The Fire' topped 'Native Sons'.

Hard to go past Journey for mine - like Rush, they never had a hit down here so the only time I heard them was from my stereo.

Work Of Art doing great stuff now.

Have also been listening to a great new British band called The Struts.

Little River Band are a great AOR act from your neck of the woods.

Rio Speedwagon must also be tarred with this brush. I really liked them until they went all "mushy".

The success that brought meant they stayed that way . I call it the "Bryan Adams Syndrome" ( shudder).

OK...need to check them out, alongside Saga and Angel.

As good as REO AOR gets.

Wildest Dreams sounds AOR to me.

Oh my Gosh! I totally agree with you! I just played the first Asia album on my drums a few days ago! It's a fun AOR album to play!

Trying to match the drum fills on that song is a tough task but nonetheless it's a great song to play!

The whole album is!!!

The first three ASIA albums are AOR BLISS!!

Yes you guys, I love ASTRA!!

Haven't given them much time yet, wasn't enamoured with World Apart, but wasn't turned off by it either!

Currently hooked on Foreigner, and for all the clichéd lyrics, sappy power ballads, samey album fillers and often overwrought vocals, this band only ever released great albums!

Not sure why, but the less successful albums strike me as the best: Mr Moonlight, Can't Slow Down, Inside Information and even the debut are just extraordinarily lively and fun pop albums!

I mean, I do tire of all the ballads, and yet somehow I keep on playing them. Over and over!
