Rush Record Collection

For the LPs the little collector disease that affects me from a while, the undisputable high quality of the pressings and the thrill of the chase.

Ffor the SHM-CDs at that point it has been an 'inertial exercise', coming as mini-LP replicas.

IMO the SHM-CDs really sound great, but honestly I didn't compare waveforms using spectrum analyzers or whatever, just trusted my ears.

old, used copies of everything from the first album to power windows. signals and power windows are in killer shape, the rest look like old records should look. I have 2 copies of 2112, ATWAS, and AFTK for some reason

:codger: :coy:

Just teasing. You keep them. They will be worth a lot of money some day.

the shms are very done as far as artwork goes, to the tee,, but however, I like the sector box version of signals sounds better than the shm version...but you cant beat the art even using the actual sleeve too, Edited by nicky6

Never bought the Sectors Box sets because I was afraid of the faulty items that many buyers found in each of them, at least here in Europe, and didn't want to drive myself mad to get a replacement

On Vinyl:

Double Feature FBN/COS as DLP Foldout

I didn't know about this one.

I have the Rush/Fly By Night DLP foldout. (Pretty cool.)

Didn't know they made one for Fly By Night/Caress of Steel.

Was this a reissue?

I'm pretty sure that this is a mistake from Phoenix. I've never heard of a FBY/COS double LP.

This will seriously date me, but I discovered the band in junior high in the late 1970s, and started with 2112 on vinyl. I had "Caress of Steel" and "Farewell to Kinds" on eight-track (look it up.) then proceeded with vinyl through "Grace Under Pressure" -- going back and getting the first album and "All the World's a Stage" -- before moving to cassette then CD.

I have a whole bunch of Rush vinyls and I'm too lazy to list them all. The ones that stand out are the Permanent Waves MFSL and the fantastic sounding Japanese Editions of Hemispheres and Exit...Stage Left, just to name a few.

Test for Echo (Picture Disc)

What? I thought Test For Echo did not exist on vinyl!? :o

I can´t tell for sure, if this is an official release.

The picture disc says it´s an promotional copy. I will post some pictures as soon as I am back home.

Clockwork Angels (Original and Red copy)

What is the different on these two?

The red version is a German pressing...only 300 copies made.

Is it any difference on them sound wise or artwork?
