I want to have a Genesis cover band. Play like an hours worth of the most sublime music ever put to tape. Classic stuff like cinema show, firth of fifth, some Lamb, in the Cage, get em out by friday etc. Then for a finale the singer would go. "Ok we only have time for one more tune" and start playing the riff to Throwing it all away or Follow you follow me and then BAM!! Suppers ready. In full. Complete.

Although I know Peter Gabriel did guest drumming on a reunion concert, I've never heard him as the singer.

Peter Gabriel? Are you kidding?

Anyone guess how I voted?

Selling England, Lamb Lies Down, Foxtrot and Nursery Crime. Those albums, essential, influential, seminal albums of prog rock. The early "Phil" era was a continuation of the "Peter"' era, serious prog rock with great albums. When Hackett left is when they started to turn pop, although and then there were three and duke are good albums. Abacab onwards, listen at your own risk.

Abadab and Genesis are both solid albums. Actually so is Invisible Touch if you remove IT AND in Too Deep and replace them with Do the Neurotic and Feeding the Fire.

WCD Is better if you get rid of some of the last half and replace them with On the Shoreline. Its also shorter which isnt a bad thing. Never A Time, Tell Me Why, Since I Lost You and Way of the World should have never seen he light of day.

Calling All Stations is vastly underrated and should be listened to with a fresh perspective.
