Vegas can be tough. Alot of those seats go to the casino. Last tour I was able to get 5 row in front of Geddy from someone that knew someone high up in the managment position.

My friend has gotten me 4th row center for Sabbath For the Aerosmith/Slash show got 3rd row off the floor in the section by the stage.

So with the band's VIP package and casino getting tix for the VIP's it can be tough.

The Vegas venue is a tricky one. If you're too far back on the floor it kind of sucks because it's not a graduated floor. If I can't be in the first 5 rows or so, I like to be up in one of the first side sections off the floor like Sec. 16 or 17. That's what I ended up with through the fan presale. It's where I last for the 2010 Time Machine tour show and it was killer.

I'd also suggest checking with the box office day of the show as they may release unclaimed seats they reserved for their high roller players.

I love stubhub, cheapest place to find tickets last minute for saturated shows. Brokers out front will never go as low as Stubhub. Even if I don't plan on going to certain shows I monitor the prices of shows just to get a good feel of the market. Here are some of the lowest I have seen for shows

07/12 Paul McCartney $10.00 Fargo ND

04/16 Lorde $4.99 Lorde The day before the show tickets where in the $89-90 range

12/06 Beyonce $2.00

10/25 Kayne West 10/25 $1.00

10/31 Britney Spears $12.15 Actually ended up going to this show. Was eating dinner with a friend that just got done with a rock tour and stopped by Vegas on the way home). While at dinner I jocked that Britney was going for $15. I thought he was joking. He said it was a Sunday night nothing else was going on and for $15 it was worth seeing a train wreck. Not all her dates get this low.

If you learn your market city. You can usually look at the listing on Stubhub and tell if prices will drop in the future. Taking a quick look at Stub Hub I think the following cities will have some great deals

05/10 Lincoln 1500 tickets available in this morket also a Sunday show

05/14 St louis 2156 Tickets nig market but the midwest is not big on paying over face value

05/16 Austin 1574 Ticket

05/24 Tampa 2195 Tickets The only thing that might save this show is its the only FL date. 2100 ticcket on the secondary market is hard to push (lady Gaga Justin timberlake in Vegas at time have not been able to sell evrything out on stub hub.)

The Vegas show has 2300 Tickets avalable and not sold out except for the $127 tickets. Until that happens people are not going to buy from teh secondary market. So Vegas will drop.

Never buy 1 ticket well in advance.

Was working in Kansas City in May 2008, The Police were on there reunion tour.

Got off work early, heard they were playing a sold out show, went to the arena to score a cheap ticket,

Show was sold out...3 minutes asking for 1 ticket...8th Row floor.

Paid $75 bucks for a $150 ticket. Dude's cousin backed out....

Always someone who's wife/brother/boss/priest who could not make it...

Bought the guy a beer since I was sitting next to him...

If Rush was going to play Lincoln, they should have opened the tour there.

No one EVER questions the opening city...crickets

Tulsa is along the line of Lincoln. They will might set up a few days in advance to do a walk through show. Nothing going on in the venue for over a week before the Rush date.

I was able to secure 8th row on Alex's side and only because I have a very close friend who works for the Mirage/MGM group (M-Life). Otherwise those tickets are very difficult to get.

Best bet is wait till the week of the show and go Stub Hub or see if comp tickets (high rollers) get released because they are unused.

Exactly single tickets are cake to get the day of the show and close ones to boot. Even pairs can be had the week of at near face or at face up close. You just have to have the belief.

For Orlando on the CA tour I had a pair from the pre-sale right on the side of the stage Alex side....3 days before the show I was able to land a pair in the 3rd row on stub hub for 200 a ticket. Snagged them then sold my other pair outside to a couple of real Rush fans at face value.

Get a ticket just in case...then if you score you can dump the other one. It is tougher to do with singles. But pairs are very easy to dump at face value if they are good to great seats.
