I might look like a mug here but I am actually getting into good Pop music recently. You might remember the Call Me Maybe girl Carly Rae Jepsen. But don't let that cloud your judgement because that girl is awesome. Her 2015 album Emotion is probably the best pop album that I have ever listened to. Make sure that you are open to this kind of thing because pop music is the thing that you should be familiar with. It is not really a bad thing to go there because pop is not bad. I know that there is a stereotype around it but people like Carly and Dua Lipa have proven that pop music is still good when there is genuine love put into the project.

My newest band has been writing some originals! What really helps is that all four of us sing and write.

An eclectic assortment of jams (per usual):

Electric Worry- Clutch

Type- Living Colour

Black the Sky- King's X (My favorite album by them is Gretchen Goes to Nebraska, but I have a soft spot for Dogman)

Nights in White Satin- Oceans of Slumber (really gorgeous, doomy cover of the Moody Blues classic)

Hear Her- Spirit Adrift

Steambreather- Mastodon

Babooshka- Kate Bush

God- Tori Amos

I am I- Queensryche

Born for One Thing- Gojira (the new Gojira single)

As I am typing this, I am jamming to Ramblin' Man, so I guess the Allman Brothers Band also get a spot on this prestigious list

I was a big fan of Time's Up when it came out, and I was actually able to see the band in concert at the University of Maryland.

I learned to play Type on guitar back then, and recently since I've had access to the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier profile, I've started playing it again. Such great fun.

That's a great list smasher. I think I'll relearn some Leppard tunes. You have inspired me :guitar: to practice more!

I should point out these are all definitely work in progress!! Well I can just about do I heard it on the X and Until the end of he world.

Panama City Hotel is awkward for the singing (for me).

Haven't really started the others but did try Little Guitars but that is gonna' take a while to get anywhere near a reasonable version.

Ichika Nito - Orb

Crikey this Orb song is difficult. Still haven't got it down yet.

I've been watching Ichika Nito on YouTube. His playing is insane

The chordal arpeggio stuff is doable but some of the tapping and harmonics is really hard to play

Living Colour - Cult of Personality...well the main riff and easy chorus/verse parts. The variations on the main riff are giving me a headache to do smoothly. And then there's the fast repeat of the riff at the end to build up to....
