apetersvt
Led Zeppelin - In The LightLed Zeppelin - Ten Years Gone I was very excited when the Dec 1993 Guitar World issue with Ten Years Gone showed up in the mail. Back in the day where pretty much the only thing I could play was if a tune showed up in Guitar World or Guitar for the Practicing Musician. It was close to the excitement as when La Villa Strangiato was included in a Guitar For The Practicing Musician issue.

There is an amp profile that was included on my Kemper called Gilmourish, and it is set up with effects to sound amazingly like the rhythm guitar on Breathe. Actually, it is even more swirly and atmospheric than just Gilmour's guitar. I think it captures that, plus the ambient keyboard sounds as well. It's totally fun to play around with. But no matter what I do, I have to play those chords at some point, or it just doesn't feel right.

And everybody else in his band is first-rate, too- banjo, mandolin, and bass.

Those chords themselves, just the atmosphere of the studio recording, the way the sound comes across, have always been just mesmerizing to me. Was looking at trying a version of Tennessee Stud as done by Doc Watson. Then I saw the Billy Strings version. He's the flash, younger, faster version of Doc it seems. But I haven't heard anything else by him but his version of Tennessee was impressive.

I certainly can’t do all the picking on it, but the pace of that song, and the chord progression- just really fun to play.
