Trying to work on my bass chops with Sir Duke, I Wish, and Superstition. Also that Chic tune . . . Good Times?

I love that song.

I am not ashamed to say I am a HUGE John Denver fan (call me eclectic) - and you gave me the great idea to start pulling up his music to practice with, too.

Its a fun song to play. I har to learn it on the fly (open mic situation) and the guy sining it wanted me to take a solo. G major pentatonic served me really well with a little C and F# thrown in for good measure.

Santeria is great fun to play on bass.

No doubt, a lot of room for improvisation.

This one, right here. I'm not even a super huge Genesis fan but holy shit when they hit it out of the park it goes 500 feet.

Also I love Phil's drum sound on ABACAB. Killer.

I didn't get into Iron Maiden until about 2010 or so. The guitar player in the band I was in at the time was a fan and made me a CD to listen to of some of his favorite songs. I'm a big Steve Harris fan now.
