I used to have a plastic ring from one of those vending machines they had at the front doors to K-Mart and those type of stores....

Sorry, just passed my MENSA 'Old Farts' test, and there is NO sign that I have Dementia or Alzheimers. My Brain is as sharp as it was in my early 20s. So, JB? GO AND SOAK YOUR HEAD.

Zelix is a flat leaver.

I don't even know what that means

That is why I laughed. It is regional and a term I haven't used since 1989. I know exactly what Lorraine means. You're out with a friend or small group of friends. One leaves unexpectedly without notice, they flat out left. The worst is when the Flat Leaver is your ride!

I don't remember where I heard the term, but I did recognise it when Lorraine used it....I myself haven't had that problem, but I've had people at the same party have it happen to them...sux.

Where I was raised, "flat leaver" was someone who claimed to be your friend and left you for another friend more popular. It was a popular term when I was a little girl.

I didn't realize it was a regional term. :)

Your Solid Gold Awesomness,

It is with great urgency that I bring you this message. As you know, my homeland has been ravaged by vile thunderstorms for five days now. Due to the ongoing rainstorms, I am unable to enjoy evenings outside on my porch without my hair becoming thoroughly soaked. My humble request is for you to bring fair weather upon my land, so that no one should suffer the consequences of wet hair in cold, air-conditioned houses after braving the elements. In return, I shall offer you a sacrifice of Coca-Cola, as I am too young to handle alcoholic beverages.
