Macklemore's debut

Lyle Lovett—Joshua, Judges, Ruth

I have you to thank for introducing me to Lyle Lovett. Amazing, but so hard to find albums here in the UK!

Really bro? You're listening to him? Any favorites?

His first album has a couple good songs, an eclectic release for sure. IMO his weakest release.

I always start with the debut (well, most times), and I was pleased by what I heard.

So I guess if it is a lesser work it can only get better!

Oh yeah.

Pontiac, Lyle Lovett and his Large Band, Joshua Judges Ruth, I Love Everybody, The Road to Ensenada, and Step Inside This House, are an incredible run. Greatness personified.

Aside from rhe Pod swap out the Mollusk and

I dont know he Cale or Jack White ones though.

OSFA is so criminally underrated. If more people only knew that was out there would be way more Zappa fans in the world.

Sounds like you're a man of great taste!!

The Mollusk is amazing, Whenever I try to turn people on to Ween, that is my go to...then I go backward. Can't wait for Aaron to get through his sobriety thing so they can get back to making great music.

I could have easily put 5 or more Cale albums on the list!!! It was really difficult choosing between Fear and Sabotage Live.

OSFA...for Inca Roads alone!!! Then you've got Andy...Sofa...San Berdino...Florentine Pogen...

I also see you're a XTC fan. Drums and Wires can also be included in my list!! One of the most underrated bands of all time. If you've never heard it, Primus recorded a great version of Making Plans For Nigel.

The one XTC I would go with would be English Settlement with Drums a close second.

I go way back with Primus. To about 1990. Seen Les in about 7 or 8 different configurations including a crazy NYE Show in SF AND Oysterhead in LA. In fact I live about 3 blocks from where he went to high school. Not that Im stalking him or anything. Haha
