But the vocals are atrocious, and even the alternate solo (which is crazy) doesn't let this surpass ATWAS. Musically, this version strives to have the energy and spontaneity of the early songs, but even there it falls a little short...both in length and in playing. Geddy, on the other hand, rips it to shreds. The energy is there, but his entire solo was mostly just muffled pick scratches. Seeing it live was a lot of fun but watching/listening to it on the recording isn't as rewarding now that you can hear he's just hacking at it. Dirk's bass playing never gets old.
