This question has probably been asked a million times throughout this forum's 10 year tenure, but I'm curious.

My vote goes to Houses Of The Holy. Perfect blend of everything Zeppelin was good at, and each tune has the ability to stand out on its own, and zero filler.

TSRTS: Fantastic rampage of doubleneck guitar, drums, and everything in between.

Rain Song: Great ballad showcasing Plant's voice, Page's guitar chops, and JPJ's keyboards

OTHAFA: The "pop hit" of the album, but a good tune nonetheless.

The Crunge: Where's that confounded bridge? :D

Dancing Days: Nice standard hard rock song.

D'yer Maker: Interesting little funk number.

No Quarter: Easily one of the best tracks they've ever written. The version from the reunion tour in 2007 is bone-chilling.

The Ocean: Bonham at his finest.

HOTH, for the spooky No Quarter, and the mellotron-filled Rain Song.

The post-vinyl/cassette fast transition from "Where's that confounded bridge?" to the killer riff of Dancing Days I find tremendously enjoyable every time.

Strangely, I can't stand the running order. I want the album to end with No Quarter or Rain Song, not my least favorite track, The Ocean.

Led Zeppelin IV

But I could easily have gone for III, HOTH (where the Rebel base is located) or Physical Graffiti

This has got to be one of the hardest questions to answer in Rock .

But I`v e gone for

Physical Graffiti .

Probably as its a double album , double the music .

Not sure that it is actually my favourite, but lately the album I reach for is Physical Graffiti.

(I've been a LZ fan since I was a youngin, and I think the allure for PG for me these days is that I didn't listen to it to death back then, so it still has novelty for me.)

Physical Graffiti. Though II through HotH represent the definitive LZ for me, PG puts an exclamation point on it all and sort of sums it up; what followed PG is fairly forgettable by Zeppelin's standards. I also just love the atmosphere of PG, esp Kashmir through Ten Years Gone. It caps their glory years.

Houses of the Holy by a nose over Physical Graffiti. Although, "D'yer Mak'er" almost irritates me enough to bump it down to number two. Almost...

And I still love the first album—the unbridled power of "Good Times, Bad Times" continues to impress.

PhysGraf, followed by HOTH and LZI. Mostly because PG has my favorite Zep song period (and it's not the one you're thinking of)

In the Light?

That's one of my favourites

Holy is a distant 2nd only because of that Crunge filler.

Filler!? :rage:

"Where's that confounded bridge?"

I used to hate that song...but now I love it!
