All I ask is that they write the best songs they can.

And that they get a fantastic producer and nail the sound down perfectly.

Imagine CA and VT with the production of Moving Pictures or Counterparts...

Fixed a little.... :)

Forty years worth of giving and giving to us, with quite a few of their songs being included in the soundtrack of my life...and I'm supposed to suggest something ELSE they can do to make me happy?

Please...

- release test for echo tour blu-ray

- release entire grace under pressure and a show of hands shows on blu-ray

- release demos and outtakes of various versions of songs before they were finished, before changed were made, etc (including the original Earthshine before it was completely redone) can be a special edition double or triple cd set

- play or release an acoustic version of second nature which was planned for one of the tours but was scrapped (or just release an existing rehearsal version of if it exists) - can be included on previously listed special edition cd set

- release a rehearsal show of the Vapor Trails tour that includes live versions of Nocturne and Vapor Trail which were apparenly on back-up for the Vapor Trails tour but never performed in front of a tour

- hell release a complete rehearsal audio show from every tour they can. i'm sure some of these exist. release them as a set.

- give the "rush rediscovered" lp treament to every album (including the live albums)

Where did you hear that an acoustic version of Second Nature was rehearsed? That sounds like it would have been awesome! Edited by Geddy's Soul Patch

Rush can't make you happy. Happiness comes from within.

The full Xanadu was played on the "jukebox" at a bar I was at last night. A violent bar brawl ensued....

Must've been one of those Village People bars

Read about it years ago in an interview I think. Not sure exactly when or where but I believe it was rehearsed for the R30 tour but for some reason they decided to play Resist again (which was the biggest let down of the show for me because they already did that). There should be a source out there somewhere.

Looks like a list of good ideas what they're going to do, when they finally quit touring. :codger: You've made the perfect pension plan.

But none of these necessarily requires any work from the band. Archival people or assistants or slaves can take care of all of this so my requests aren't very demanding on the band at all...

I also wouldn't mind them recording a full album of acoustic renditions of their songs. I beleive I read they were considering doing a acoustic version of Totem for the R30 tour, but don't hold me to that. Alcohol has evaporated some of my brain cells during the past few years.

Right man. I think we're getting some rare, strange, but very good vids and audio releases after they're done.

Here's hope for more tours and at least 2-3 more releases with new music. What else should they do when their touring years are over?! I can't see them doing nothing at all. They're always good for a stunner.

The kind Goatnut is famous for. Even the brochures say so.

This made me laugh. After hearing about Robin Williams I needed it bad.

They would make me happy by putting together a DVD of weird little skits. Like the tour skits, 5-10 mins. each. I would expect them to be bizarrely hilarious.
