x1yyz
(Pardon me if this has been posted before; I looked but couldn't find anything.) Driving around California yesterday I saw a billboard saying that Yes was playing some casino. I came home and looked it up, and yes, Yes is actually on tour! It looks like they're only playing one casino so maybe they're not quite at the "Puppet Show and Spinal Tap" level yet, so that's good. Here are some upcoming shows if you're interested: http://www.ticketmaster.com/YES-tickets/artist/736506
Narps
I have known this for a while. The closest they get to me is Atlanta GA and the prices are pretty high. If it was the Anderson, Howe, Wakeman, Squire (White or Bruford) version I would be there. One of my regrets is never seeing Yes live back in the day when I had the chance...... x1yyz
I didn't realize they were still together, let alone touring. Who's in the band now?
NaturalHemisphereGarden
I didn't realize they were still together, let alone touring. Who's in the band now? Alan White, Chris Squire, and Steve Howe are still in the band. Nowadays, they have Jon Davison (from Glass Hammer, a newer band very similar to Yes) on vocals on Geoff Downes (from the Buggles and Asia) on keyboards.

Remember, Geoff Downes was in Yes back in 1980 for the Drama album and tour. And he's been in Yes for the last couple of years, going back to the Fly From Here album. And since it hasn't been posted in this thread, yet, Yes are releasing a new album soon called Heaven and Earth. And, for the thread starter's interest, there is a thread right here in Music of the Spheres called "The Official Yes Thread." Lots of good Yes talk in there.

custom55
I've only seen Yes with Jon. Well once with Benoit but the only reason I went was I was back stage. No Jon, no Yes. :finbar: Edited July 26, 2014 by custom55
Maverick
No Jon = No Yes But I really kind of dig the song Fly From Here. It is truly a guilty pleasure.
Tombstone Mountain
I'm a huge fan. Squire is a fav of mine. Love his tone. Went through the entire discography recently. 90125 is such a great work. Aged very very well. What a record. Probably tops them all for me. Rabin is the main reason, aside from the great songs. Dude shreds
