"Now there's no more oak oppression?" - this looks pretty oppressive to me

I have never posted any of my images here so I thought I would put one up. I have been shooting rodeo for over 10 years. This is a shot from last weekend.

So i took a picture in Monterey CA of this flower with the dead bumblebee inside thinking "that's pretty cool." It wasn't until I got home and blew it up that i saw the white spider was the culprit

I couldn't see the spider at first. I'm not surprised that you missed it. It's pretty cool but poor bumblebee. At least the spider will eat it unlike if a human had killed it. Aren't bees meant to be becoming rarer?

Scholars believe that pesticides may be having an impact, as is the growing wasp population and a reliance on domesticated bees. My theory...?

This is a shot of the the Rodeo Queen in prayer during opening ceremonies. Rodeo and NASCAR are the only sports I can think of that include prayer. That's a shame.

I was in Costco yesterday and there was a hummingbird feeding on the plants INSIDE COSTCO !!! WTF !!! I stood in awe as this little bird went from plant to plant and he/she could care less that I was watching.

I left my phone in the car so I have no pictures to show but you know I'd be posting them if I had them. Very cool/unexpected moment and I hope this bird gets out alive.

Oh, the bird seemed to like the salvia plants so I bought one. Good karma
