Hiked in NJ today with the dogs and took a dip in the lake/pond to cool off.

Went to a long distance interview Friday, and combined it with a nice 3rd trip to Zion National Park Saturday :)

The next time I pull these mass photo dumps I will probably just start my own thread

Wow! Great photos, and what a cool place! It looks a little bit like Bryce Canyon. I'll bet you guys had a ball!

Yep...it was a great road trip. We ended up in 'Zona for spring training baseball. Here's the best part...I retire June 22 and will be homeschooling my son for 2016-17. Lots of these trips in the next 12 months!

Congratulations and have fun on the upcoming travels! Like most people, I think I learned more from my family (and other) trips than I did inside most of my classrooms. Sounds like a great year for your son!

Retirement !!

August makes 2 years for me. My days are so busy now that I would never think about going back full time. I do work a part time job but that as far as I go.

Enjoy !!!

A few miles outside of our town there are a lot of Mennonite farms. Yesterday there were a lot of horse and buggies around; they are always beautiful. I tried to snap a pic on our way home from Pittsburgh- it came out terribly, but maybe you can get the idea!

I took this one in 2012:

11019583_427792600759241_4786401000389642596_n.jpg?oh=f5d7130c43db737b5f17645e09d2e15e&oe=57AFD93F

It's just beautiful. :)

Size and light contrasts with spread color touch. The contrast also comes in a overlay.

Look at the leaf: the color, light, shape and the fact of being the first element that guides our view into a composition.

I love this texture closer the our eyes and depth lines towards the little bridge and the almost invisible house.

Wow I didn't expect such in-depth analysis of our photography, but it's nice, thank you. :-) I consider myself an artist first (I draw a little) and photographer second. My wife is the photographer and I just assist. But I think the techniques between the two are interchangeable.

What happened to the original drummer. Carlos Bunn? I think that's his name.

I was close. Actually, I had to think that maybe it was what you say. I guessed wrong. Not gonna look it up. Not that important to me. Just thought some one would tell me here.

Your compositions are elaborated and well thought.

Great to know about more artists around. We will have a lot to talk yet. :)

Keep posting!
