Verena
Jackson Pollock (1912- 1956) Pollock was a painter related with Abstract Expressionism movement and inffluenced by Surrealism ideas of "psyche automatism". His artwork is related with spontaneity, non-identifying shapes, untraditional composition ways and self-expression immersed on unconscious/ subconscious. Pollock used to work with canvas on the floor and use brushes or sticks to manipulate the paint from the can to the canvas surface. He appreciated working on the floor and feeling the paiting: walking around it, working on all sides and being literally "inside the paiting". She-Wolf, 1943.
