I'm no too bad at most things, though with plumbing if it can't be fixed with a jubilee clip I'm wary...also electricity I try to avoid as it can be a bit unforgiving if you make a mistake.

After college I realized I couldn't be caged in an office anymore so I went to work doing carpentry and painting with some friends and later branched off on my own. It's mostly painting now, but I still build things, and do a lot of electrical and some plumbing.

I also work on my own cars when I can and build my own computers :)

Here's my Houzz page for my business with some of my projects linked

Am I considered handy if I'm currently destroying my bathroom?

You are currently considered as being "destructive."

Well, there is certainly skill involved with doing demo. Do it wrong and you can cause a whole lot of damage.

I can do yard work and some gardening but I'm no good at hardware or construction type stuff.

just wait. You have the mind for it, someday you might. I wasn't until I was about 30 or so

I am, ahem, well past 30 (and 40), and it hasn't happened for me yet.

Of course, you did say 'might'...good call.
