That reminds me of the hoarse-voiced British songstress Tasmin Archer, who released an EP of Elvis Costello covers called Shipbuilding, in 1994.

The title track, Deep Dark Truthful Mirror, and All Grown Up came out quite nicely, and New Amsterdam isn't bad.

Forgot about that DEVO satisfaction one, that's awesome too...

Mick Jagger said it was his favorite of all the various covers of the song.

Maybe not as clever as Satisfaction, but another great Devo cover. Listen to the 15 seconds starting at 1:56 on a good system, ideally on vinyl.

This is off topic, but I can't resist as I suppose a thread called "The Worst Cover Ever" probably wouldn't go anywhere. First the original. It builds slowly, so if you want to hear why it's so great, skip to 3:13. Then go to the cover (if you dare; I cannot be held responsible for adverse reactions, especially for people with previously-diagnosed medical conditions)...

Now Check this guy Cedrick out, he was a fixture on Venice beach in CA in the 90's—He could give Geddy a run for his money!

I'm trying to locate the one where he play's Billy Jean, if anybody can find that clip please post it??
