Probably easier to pick 11 of 14 right than to keep your wife from online shopping for two days. Not that either is especially likely, at least in my case.

Missed tackles plus penalties equals "ole!" defense

You forgot to mention penalties

Oh, and let's not forget the penalties . . . but winning's the thing that papers over the other things, I suppose!

The defense won the day I the end. Hopefully they take that game-closing attitude and play forward the rest of the season.

Patrick Mahomes :sundog: needs a few stronger players.

Does any other QB have as many offensive options as Mahomes? His offense is loaded with talent. He just needs to learn to reel in the gunslinging that took everyone by surprise his first two years. That should cut down the turnovers.

Coming soon to a stadium near you -- "The New Chiefs: Grind It Out, Defensive Specialists"

Brought to you by Odd Coaching Decisions, Reversion To The Mean, and Timely Absences

The Chiefs really seem to be over-thinking things offensively, and the opposition seems content to sit back and wait for KC the shoot themselves in the foot.

Lately KC has still managed to win, which I'll take.

The league has caught up with the KC O, and Reid hasn't adjusted. Also the D has fallen off a cliff. I'll still be in KC for the Cowboys game and get that off my bucket list. My luck it'll be ten below. LOL

Correct.

I may be more inclined to think they will be a repeat of the Seahawks from about 10 years ago.

Yikes; there's a chilling analogy. I'd hate to think the Chiefs will waste prime Mahomes the way the Seahawks seem to have squandered prime Wilson. Surely Reid is a better coach than Carroll, though?

I saw a commentary suggesting this, hence the comment.

As far as the coaching goes, perhaps. However, I am someone who thinks you are only as good as your talent.

May I ask a severely annoying question about the Chiefs-Packers game?

OK, so here it goes.....

If Aaron Rodgers had been the Packers' quarterback, ....(well, you know the rest)..... :16ton:

. . . the Packers would have won 27-13. Love was just enough off to keep the Chiefs in it, and their defense did step up enough to keep him just off. Rodgers wouldn't have run rampant, but he wouldn't have had to.

The game certainly had many fans doing the classic "What if..." debate.

Last time the two teams met, Mahomes was out, but Matt Moore did very well. Packers 31-24. It was another "What if..." game.

The bad part here is that had the Packers kicker not missed his field goals, it may have been a different game.
