I can see why the punks and hipsters were inspired, I suppose.. But I've been bombarded all day with his passing via news and Facebook .. People crying and shit..can someone explain his genius to me? Lou Reed changed the way I heard music by opening up new genres and sounds for a lonely, disaffected, teenage, suburban girl. His songs connected with me like few have.
