Not a big fan of real hoppy beer, so not a huge connoisseur of IPAs.

But this I adore.

Sam Adams pint or 22oz Perfect Pint glasses.

Some I'll put in a snifter.

I also have a couple of Duvel tulip glasses.

I'm not really fond of drinking it from a can or long neck bottle. It's got to breathe a bit, and it is best when I can enjoy the aroma as well as the taste. Plus, being able to see a richly colored beer just enhances the experience even more.

I'll prefer it cold out of the bottle.

Here's a German beer from my region

In a glass. Mostly in a straight sided Nonic style pint. Something big enough to hold a poured beer, including it's head. Sometimes that means my 20 oz. GLBC stout glass:

Usually a Pint glass or a pub glass.... I don't go overly crazy with glass ware.... and I don't know how much validity there is behind drinking some styles out of certain glasses.. (Snifters/Tulip/Weizen) for instance

That's easy, I pour it down the sink and then get a glass of scotch.

I had a bit last night and it was fantastic. That smokiness is so distinctive.

I am starting the Christmas party at work today with cheep wine, and from now on it's going to go uphill with some better wines and some strong Christmas beers, always on the perfect glass for the type of beers i drink. And maybe i will try to get reckless with the strongest beer of the world "the Snake Venom" at 67% alc. :

Have you tried Lagavulin 16? It's just...titanic. Dat aroma!

Two reviews of this one:

94 points Whisky Advocate

http://www.klwines.com/images/OuterQuote.gif An old classic, but how do the newest bottlings fare? Rich, chewy, slightly oily texture. Deep peat, thick smoke, iodine, brine, charcoal, seaweed, tea (Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong), and the aromas of a summer barbeque. Vanilla and light caramel soften the intensity, while subtle citrus fruit teases. Powerful, yet polished and seamless. After all these years, this whisky is still one of the finest standard-issue peaty, smoky whiskies!

K&L Notes

Lagavulin was established in 1830 and has the driest start of all single malts. Full amber in color, with a dominant sherry nose. Full-bodied yet smooth. The dryness is offset by the sweetness of the sherry character. Salty notes and a huge powerful peaty finish. A connoisseur's malt, and with consistently high marks from late critic Michael Jackson.
