If you do get one and it's your first bike, be careful for christ's sake. A lot of bike accidents occur because the driver in the car didn't see the bike.

I almost got sideswiped on my way to Toronto in July.

The same goes to you AGP. If you get one, be careful.

Edited as I forgot to reply to Ghost: I have been riding bikes since I was a wee one. I rode dirt, trails, and some road. I fully plan to take a MSC, and practice fully before I get my endorsement. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

My "everyday" car for running around is a '96 Spyder. I absolutely LOVE it! I've never had the tiniest bit of trouble with it. It's red with a black top, (which rarely sees the light of day during the summer months). I get great mileage in the city and I can drive 120+ when I feel the need out on the open road. It's the perfect car for a free spirit on a budget.

One of my other favorite vehicles is my classic 1983 JEEP Scrambler. There were only 5300 made and there are not many left in very nice shape. Mine is PRISTINE!!!

My dream car: 69 AMX

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/geddylee2001/JunkTruck01.jpg

This one needs a little work.

A coworker started "Crappy Truck Joke Monday" based on my truck. Every Monday he had a new joke about my truck. Here's some samples.

You know you have a crappy truck when...

...you install a part that's painted a different color, rusted, and bent, and it still improves the look of your truck.

...you hear a bang, you see something in the rearview mirror fly out from under your truck, and that annoying sound has suddenly gone away.

...the local auto parts store has your whole truck on backorder.

(He exaggerated some on the last one; they don't make all those parts anymore.)

This is in... (counts on fingers) 7 months. My grandparents are getting a new Pontiac, and I'm getting this old one. It's kinda bittersweet, as it's a new car, but I feel like I am 65 as I'm doing 65!

FINALLY! I have some photos of my "sweet ride". As you can tell I need to order a new mirror. As I am sure you can imagine wet roads and rear-wheel drive mopeds don't exactly mix.

There is a close up of the spedometer. It claims it can do sixty. I thought that this was one of the things companies do. Turns out mine has a small computer in it that keeps it from going over forty. One day while driving home, it was raining and it was really cold. I was coming over the top of the hill, when I hear a "Chinkca","pop", and "BAha". When the thing speeds up. I look down and see that i am doing around fifty five. I start screaming, and then fly off into the ditch. The bike slams around for a minute, (the throttle got stuck in the process) and then dies. I had gotten thrown to the other side of the road.

My ribs were bruised pretty badly and my front wheel was bent. I got a ride from the nieghbor to my grandparents. Apparently the repair was upwards of a hundred dollars and am going to "work it off" with my grandfathers masonry company this summer.

anyway have a gander.
