Cincy - WOW!!!

I'll echo the sentiments about how great the show was! Super!

I splurged for the VIP Nation tickets and was pleasantly surprised to find that we scored THIRD ROW smack dab in front of Alex. I even caught a shirt from him! I got a shirt that has a photoshopped pic of Al on one side and "My car goes fast" on the other. Anyone have an idea what that refers to? I searched the forums but didn't see anything.

Wow! Cinci was fabulous.

Red Barchetta?

Shouldn't that be the top of your head in the second, pic, then?

Was on the lawn with one of my bros and my nephew last night. Belated birthday present for both of them. Thank God it didn't rain like it did the night before at the Reds/Giants game. That was a deluge! Anyway, I have to say Geddy's voice was OUTSTANDING last night. Love it. He was carrying out some notes extendedly and beautifully. And, oh yeah, he has a NICE B-ASS too :o) Alex seemed to be happy too. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves last night and it showed. I think it may be close to a magic show, or at least a really "on" night for them. Thanks for a great show Rush! The crowd represented and I was glad to see not a lot of cell phones in the air. Only complaint was a lot of sight-line blockage from the lawn and astroturf, but the whole crowd stood out there so it didn't matter.

It was a wonderful night for my other bro as he was at the Reds game to witness the no hitter from Homer AND he got the homer baseball hit by Frazier into the left field stands the night before (with a little help from me :o) He has been a diehard Reds fan since he was 7 years old. I am so happy for him. We didn't think that night could be topped....but Rush and a no-hitter certainly did.

Our visit from Florida is making us want to move to Cinci.

I agree with everyone that last night was an awesome show. The band sounded great and very energetic. Although I didn't really think the crowd was as great as everyone else has been saying. I was somewhat far back, in section 800 row EE, and it seemed like a lot of people around me were fairly disinterested in a lot of the 1st set and the Clockwork Angels stuff. In fact, the guy in front of me was sitting down on his cell phone for nearly the whole CA portion. It did look like the crowd down towards the front was more enthusiastic, and of course everyone picked up from YYZ through 2112.

On another note, as I was walking around before the show started, another fan called me over to talk with him when he noticed my Chicago 2010 Rain Date hat. He said he went to the rained out show but couldn't make it to the rescheduled date. He obviously didn't get one of the free hats, and he said he's wanted one ever since. While I turned down his $85 offer for the hat, I let him take a picture wearing it. I thought that was one of the highlights of my night.

Is this the average age of the Rush audience?

Actually, no.

I was in the Lawn seats, and all the younger people were back there. There were little kids running around, lots of teenagers (of both genders), and a lot of 20's and 30 somethings.

I think the older Rush fans are just more dedicated, so they got closer seats. But lots of younger Rush fans at the Cincy show.

Older fans also want the security and comfort of pav seats rather than the catch-as-catch-can world of lawn seats.
