Funniest part of the show for me is when this guy and his girlfriend in the front row in front of Alex started kissing when Tom Sawyer started. Alex really got a kick out of it, and he messed with them for most of the first 1/4 of the song. Classic!!!

Is that what was going on? Haha I was in the 5th row at that point and I saw Alex kinda bantering with some people in the front row and he threw them a pick, but I didn't know what exactly they were doing

The Good - The 2nd set. It seems like when the strings come on the show moves to a completely different level. The players have really gotten their groove on at this point and arrangements have been tightened up to a point where they are magical IMO.

Yeah, that's really cool, ain't it!!

I thought the show was GREAT! I loved the CA cuts, especially Headlong Flight (which the crowd LOVED). Analog Kid, Territories, and Grand Designs were really awesome as well.

The sound from my seat in front of Alex was bad, but when your towards the front it's what you get. We got: a LOT of Alex and little of Geddy in our "mix" in front of the floor monitors facing the audience. Next time I might sit further back for sound and lights.

Alex threw me a shirt, that was cool too!

Someone during the second video yelled "Play Music!!!" :scared: Ugh.

Went to Peppinos w/my friend earlier in the afternoon, and that was yummy!

Yep, they were pretty surprised to look up after their romantic moment and see Alex staring them down and start mocking them, making kissy faces, hugs, etc.. in typical Alex fashion. The sustained opening chords to TS gave him plenty of time to have fun with it!!!

Anyone know what the expected set list is for Cinti on Tuesday?

If it is the next show after this one, try here: http://www.rushisaba...php?tour_id=258

Glad to see you still stalk these pages. SOCN ain't the same without you, but I imagine your life is happier now :)

Thanks, looks like I'll have the same set list as Toronto last fall. I was hoping for the other one but it's no biggie. I'm the least particular guy on what's played. If I want to hear The Pass I'll just listen to it or watch it on a DVD. The wifey likes this set list better so that's always a plus. I kinda miss SOCN but really I look back and wonder how I ever found the time to post there. It's amazing how much can happen in a day and have many other varied interests that keep me busy. Really looking forward to tonights show in the hometown. It's been a while and I still have an outside chance of getting backstage passes, so we'll see. Did the VIP again on my tics and will have to wait on seeing where the seats are. I pop around the forum occasionally and will see you around.

I heard a rumor that they were swapping the Clockwork Angels set for Caress of Steel tonight...but don't tell anyone, it's a surprise!

Okay, it's my turn to rant about non-musical show aspects of the GR show I witnessed firsthand!! Actually, the two lovebirds in question were right in front of me in the 2nd row. WTF!! They were sitting for a good part of the of the show, kissing and making out for most of the show. When he went to get drinks, she just sat and was texting on her phone! You could clearly tell she was really bored and uninterested in any of the music. Why the hell did he drag her there in the first place with 2nd row tix? Of course, when they stood up when the favorites were played, they and their male friend blocked my great view of Alex and I was surely pissed! They needed to find a room real bad; she surely didn't pay $$$ for her tix...(other payment arrangements were surely in place). Alex was watching them, mocking them and I was laughing my ass off! I gave him the :boo hiss: sign and he just grinned. Alex twice threw picks at me, as I was rocking out, but they whizzed right by me as I was steaming angry at that point!! In addition to the lovebirds in front of me, some half drunk asshole decided to squeeze himself in between me and the guy standing next to me during intermission. He was screaming and clapping like a madman! He kept thanking Rush...really man, it that necessary??? WTF???? I tolerated it solely because I had a great seat/view in 3rd row and didn't want to start a fight with the moron and get thrown out myself! Never again...assholes beware!! :rage: :rage:

Sorry you had to endure these two for the entire show rushfanforever!. I was in row 6 and didn't notice them until near the end of the show. I thought it was a "Tom Sawyer Moment", which would be endearing, but the entire show? Yuck!!! :)

I had a drunken ass and his girlfriend next to me 6th row in Detroit once (DTE for R30), and besides being a slobbering mess, he liked to do the two finger dog wistle during every one of Alex's solos. 3/4 of the way through the first set, Alex noticed, whether it was because the wistle was distracting him, or he noticed the fans around this jerk getting really pissed off I don't know. Alex visibly spoke with a guy side stage and pointed him out. At the end of the first set security came and booted him and his girlfriend. So there can be justice after all! Yes, there are things you can't control, but it's certainly not to much to ask for those around you to be respectful to the artist and fellow attendees.

I was lucky in GR and all of those immediately around me were nothing short of class acts, which fortunately is usually the case.

Hope you enjoy your remaining shows!

But the drunk interloper is inexcusable. Why didn't you call security. No ticket, no seat.

Exactly, guaranteed crowd pleaser. Anyone who hates Limelight being played is a fat spoiled Rush fan whos been to too many Rush shows.

That's me! If they continue their current pattern, I will get Limelight in SLC and will be quite annoyed! I don't see what my weight has to do with this though :P

Yeah the sound was a bit ugly, Neil's drums were THUNDERING, and not particularly in a good way. When he started going nuts at the end of Force 10 it actually hurt my ears a bit. There were a couple screw ups like when he sang the wrong lyric in Subdivisions (which I accidentally sung wrong along with him lol) but otherwise it was a great show.

what did he say lol

I thought the sound was decent. A couple songs if I remember correctly seemed drowned out in a wall of sound for a couple verses, but overall, the whole concert was good!
