The K Man
The only other instance I can remember in which he/they had such enthusiasm was after they had released Test For Echo. I remember Ged at least said in an interview around '96/'97 that it was their most enjoyable album to make to date. Along those lines, the band obviously takes stuff like that into account when discussing their favorites. All three have spoke very highly of Test for Echo and how fun it was to make, yet on the five tours since that album, only two songs have gotten played - Driven on one tour, and an acoustic Resist on two - and nothing from it has been played on the last three tours. So, it seems like an album like that comes across as fun as hell to have made, but the material itself clearly doesn't impress them that much years later, otherwise they would find a way to play some of it live. On the flip side, even though P/G was a bitch to make, Red Sector A and Distant Early Warning have been live mainstays for three decades now, Between the Wheels got played on the '04 and '07 tours, and even The Body Electric got brought back last year.
