The man knows talent.

Wenner is such a Lennonphile, Rolling Stone magazine actually reviews and promotes Yoko's screeching albums.

Watch Chuck Berry's face when Yoko grabs the mic and makes her musical contribution to his song.

Classic

I like how by the time they do Johnny B. Goode, the soundman has turned off her mic

You know...if Rush had Yoko Ono as a guest singer on "Cygnus X-1", especially the ending, would she sound out of place?

That actually sounds like it could be interesting. Maybe, even in parts of Hemispheres.

Or "Dog Years"...she could sing a special version just for our canine friends...

There are a lot of things to criticize Jann Wenner for. Being a John Lennon fanatic is not one of them.

I think the criticism is based on being such a fan he promotes the work of yoko. Just because Peart likes the guy from vertical horizon and I like Peart does not mean that I promote vertical horizon

Given this tidbit of info, I'm surprised Yuck-O didn't beat Rush into the Hall of Fame.

Look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XePFsTTDRfw

I did the same when I was 02 years old and never got paid!!!!

WTMF'inF????!!!!

Is that supposed to be her rendition of the The Great Gig In The Sky?

Do you think if she had married Ringo instead of Lennon she would still be around?

There's no accounting for taste.

But lets not call Shinola, "art".

Why not?

When you start bronzing every turd he left behind, then you've lost touch with reality.

Maybe John Lennon's greatest composition was marrying a hideous talentless women as way to express balance or ying and yang -- to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction -- "and I'm going to marry it."

The Point of this thread is Jann Wenner walked up to the greatest living rock and roll drummer and presumed to give him notes.
