adace1
Not sure how many math rock fans there are here, but hopefully there'll be more because of this thread. These bands are awesome.
Dscrapre
I saw these guys live back in october and they were incredible. They are a little less "mathy". Much more melodic and pop-oriented then the stuff you've posted, but they are great fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6n09kkdBFI Edited March 17, 2013 by Dscrapre
ColdFireYYZ
I've listened to Giraffes? Giraffes! sporadically on Youtube, and liked them, but I haven't actually listened to a full album of theirs. I'm downloading their free live album Live From Toronto right now, and I'll listen to it soon. The second link you posted was great. I will look into them as well. adace1
That Fang Island track was pretty great. I'll have to check them out.
Dscrapre
That Fang Island track was pretty great. I'll have to check them out. I had never even heard of those guys before I saw them live. Great live band. I didn't really like their latest album too much, but I don't really think that their albums do them any justice anyway.
adace1
Here's a great band I found that mixes math rock with classical. Awesome stuff.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vwZH_oE8moThis one's really good too. Edited March 18, 2013 by adace1
