Thanks, SC! :hug2:

I love the slapping portion. Eat your heart out, EVH!

Absolutely, Gipsy Kings!

This was the first one I fell in love with...

Me and my mates used to sing that while driving along back in the 80s, no drinking was involved of course... :hail:

I should also mention Yamandu Costa, who plays a seven-stringed nylon guitar. His style is not necessarily flamenco, it´s more classic guitar with tinges of a lot of latin rhythms. Check him out:

Nice! 7 strings...by my calculations that's 17% more notes. Yamandu not only delivers great music, but great note-for-note value! :P

Great stuff, RA!

The bass player is :haz:

Bumping the thread just to say that I came back from a vacation in Portugal and Spain - we went to Seville, the birthplace of flamenco. Such a cool place! We went to a show at the "Casa de la Memória" which was absolutely amazing! Tired of tourist traps as we were, we asked a friend of ours who lives there about a truly authentic display of flamenco song and dance, and this is what she recommended. If you´re ever keen on checking it out, here´s their website: http://casadelamemoria.es/

Anxiously awaiting my return to Spain...June 13!

That´s cool, goose! Where will you be going to this time? We only managed to hit the south of the country - Seville, Granada, Merida - but were REALLY impressed. Next time will hit more famous spots like Madrid and Barcelona.

This guy in in Carson City tonight. Maybe I can talk the wife into going.

Well, how did the sales pitch to your wife go? Did you see him?

He's wonderful! :ebert: Love the palmas!

Didn't sell her on it.

Actually, it was sold out. The guy is solid, though. Bummed I missed it. That venue is tiny and it would have been a great show.
