You guys might think I'm insane but I am not. I am not drunk either.

I am listening to the first Ghost album and "Prime Mover" came on.

I quickly decided to write a poll on here. Of course I am sure many of you will choose Rush but I accidentally played the Rush "Prime Mover" at almost the same time that I played the Ghost song.

It's a fukking trip!

I dare you to do it! When I played both songs at the same time it blended well and creeped me out.

Not sure if you could get the same effect.

Remember when you play Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" to the Wizard Of Oz iand t synchs up almost perfectly?

I instantly thought of that when I played bot "Prime Mover" songs almost at the same time!

So which "Prime Mover" do you like more?

I know some of you will write the cliche "apples to oranges" but if I recall many thought that Rush was a Satanic band too!!

Hell you can see the profile of the devil in the STARMAN.

I used the word "HELL" on purpose!!

RUSH RULES!

So does GHOST!

It just dawned on me when I put these two videos up that the "Hold Your Fire" cover could symbolize HELL.

The Ghost album cover is below the Rush album cover which symbolizes a ghoulish Hell. Creepy!

Happy New Year!

Perhaps "Heaven And Hell" really does exist! Neil would not agree!

Love,

I'm with you on the similarity of the two tracks. And not only do they align musically, but lyrically. Check it out...

RUSH / GHOST

Basic elemental / Clad in cloak

Instinct to survive / A secretive nun

Stirs the higher passions / Bearing the old ones´ bastard son

Thrill to be alive / Varucose phallus

Alternating currents in a tidewater surge / Obsessed and poised her

Rational resistence to an unwise urge / Cast a veil of dusk upon the cloister

Anything can happen / Prime mover, Maternal slave, With child of her grave, Mother . Filth in her womb, Father , Waiting in tomb

Weird! :o

Goose!!! Now I am totally tripping out!!! I didn't even think about the lyrical content by Neil and Papa!

I played the tracks together on accident and by some strange luck or fate they work together!

WTF?

You said it all! "WEIRD!"

I need a drink!! TOBAIS FORGE!! TOBAIS = TOMB FORGE = "FORCE" 10!

Kidding but WOW!

What a way to break in the New Year! Glad the Mayans were wrong! LOL!

OK everybody, we've all suspected for awhile now that Earl had lost his mind, well here is the official proof

The only thing these songs have in common is the title. Rush's Prime Mover easily blows away Ghost's in every aspect when it comes to overall good songwriting. While I do like the first Ghost album a lot this song is easliy the worst on the album and pretty much filler. The song lacks everything that makes the rest of Ghosts first album so good.

Prime Mover from Rush is just a great tune and like most of what they've recoded throughout their career, is just on a whole different level than what most bands can't reach.

There were parts that were interesting, Specially the Verse with heavy accented chords. But basically it made me want to strangle my dog. I'm glad RUSH's Prime mover was longer and bought me back from the insanity !
