soundtrack of Our Lives

I put this in Random Samples because it is more about the sentiment than it is about the music. I know that I have songs that when they come on the radio I am reminded of certain times on my life.

These are some of mine.

Gold by John Stewart - Reminds me of a time on vacation with my family when I was about 12. (Good memory)

Heard it From a friend by REO Speedwagon - Reminds me of the days I use to go camping at a state campground called Lake Meecham outside of Malone, New York when I was a teenager.

I will post some others after. I have to go do something now.

What is the soundtrack of your life?

Just about every RUSH and Beatles song have been the soundtrack

for my life...but there's one song from the mid-70s that really was

a high impact song for me at the time.

The song was "Takin' care of business" by BTO.

I was a paperboy at the time ,and it just fit my whole situation, back then.

Don't You Forget About Me (popularized in the Breakfast Club film) came out a year or so before I entered high school. Surely that song and movie spoke to millions of others besides myself.

Cult of Personality by Living Colour came out at a time when I thought most popular music was crap (maybe I was right?). I can't tell you how many times I had that blasting as I tore out of my high school parking lot in my shitty little Mistubishi. Good times.
