The Toronto store closed a few years ago. Another Toronto landmark gone.

I can remember going there when I was a teenager in the 70's. The pictures of all the famous people who came into the store. Spending hours looking at albums & then cd's. People would line up on Boxing Day for the sales-albums would sell for $2!!! He would do a big window display for new albums that came out. I think the last Rush display was for VT. I can remember a sign on his door-"Thanks to Sam's last purchase, the new Max Webster album has just gone gold in Canada" I think one of his sons does some work with Rush now.

Those days are sadly missed-thanks Sam trink39.gif

I remember vividly being in the main store the day that Caress of Steel came out. It was only 6 months after FBN and I was so surprised to see another LP from my favourite band. Every time I went to Sam's it was an adventure of discovery.
