Removing the Thorn from this setlist

I have always felt that this is a good setlist except for the use of Working Man. I think any of the above would have been a better closer for this tour. I went with Xanadu. I think that would have worked perfectly.

I love it. I think the problem with their sets (if there is one) is the muddled 2nd set of back - to - back - to back (insert album here). IMO the shows (insert ANY band here) that "sprinkle" the new material amongst the "hits" "rarities" etc....work far better.

Tough call! Much as I like Working Man (even with reggae intro), just about any of these choices would be preferable. Came down to Xanadu and Jacob's Ladder for me. Went with Jacob only because I've never heard it live, and I'm sure it would be EPIC. Camera Eye a very close third.

I'd personally go with LVS. However, you have to realize that not everyone is going to their 15th Rush show. I think some less dedicated fans than you might find on a fan website would be very disappointed if Working Man wasn't played.

 

I'll be seeing them for the 5th time next month. I didn't see them at all between the P/G tour and the Time Machine tour. If Spirit isn't played, I'm rioting.

I happen to like "Working Man" as a closer.

 

It is so classic and Alex shreds on it!

 

It was Rush's first "big song" and I'm of the opinion that it should always be in the set list somewhere.
