losingit2k Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 10 2012, 11:15 AM) QUOTE (Alchemical @ Sep 7 2012, 10:07 PM) It was a very enthusiastic thumbs up right until they busted out Manhattan Project. Should have been Losing It. After going to the show I'm glad they didn't play Losing It. would've been a real buzz kill. The pass was depressing enough...well played but just, well you know. Dude what are you talking about? Losing It is simply brilliant and you don't know how it would have come off live until you actually heard it. I loved the Pass when I first heard it live regardless of the lyrics. I'm sure I, as many other would Love Losing it as well! However, if it would bring you down you could always grab a hankie from Flava Flav or one of the dwarfs as they fly by! Don't mess with my Losing It man! Wait you might like that last one.
dtpoet Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 LoSingit2k - I agree. It's never been heard live so it's hard for anyone to say how it would sound. It's the same pace as The Pass. I love the song. Ive come to terms withem not playing it. It's a minor disappointment considering I gave seen all these songs sun e my tour experience is GUP thru RTB. I will be going on 10/20 and living it regardless!!! Just wanted you to know you have my support. Lol.

Tombstone Mountain Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 QUOTE (sportzfan76 @ Sep 7 2012, 10:56 PM) Tonight totally rocked. Three hours of Rush... How does it get any better? Great show, great lights, great set! This is a badass setlist. The only flaw is no Losing It, and including Working Man (which makes Goober very happy). The power windows feature is just incredible...how can you top it? You can't...

Tombstone Mountain Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 QUOTE (satyr @ Sep 7 2012, 10:16 PM) An Atrocity Seems Like An Understatement. So what's so bad about the setlist? can you give the world and example?

Tombstone Mountain Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Oh so that's a stick? Well, I learned something new today. In the deep, red-neck south it's "pardner". Is there a cuban equivalent to that besides amigo. My friend Arturo played a joke on me and said it was "bendaho" which I learned otherwise pretty quickly from his family after I called his cousin Chewie that... And yes, that is a true story. Disc Golf freak right here dude!!! On my course Hole 8 is pretty sweet, but 11 is the longest in this part of the United States. Get back with me on the terminology dude...and get that stick outta my eye
Tombstone Mountain Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Get out the vote. If you haven't, please do. So far around 83% positive response. 16 middle digits 14 thumbs down 10 stinkpalms

"Marty Cohen" or "Nalga Triste" Actually its: "Asere" or " Consortiviti" the two top ones will trigger a more violent response. Edited September 12, 2012 by losingit2k

Jomboni Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) It's possible to like individual songs off of albums that aren't your absolute favorite albums of all time, you know. And also, having a favorite album by a band doesn't mean that you automatically hate the rest of their albums. Edited September 12, 2012 by Jomboni

GeminiRising79 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Mass appeal ($$) is the primary objective for Rush at this stage in their game. The tapering ends of the Rush-fan population bell curve (refined listeners) were ignored, in essence, since it would take too much effort to squeeze out sufficient creativity to satisfy them. Fortunately, for Rush, the majority of the population is considerably dumbed-down which has favored more of a successful environment for them.
