this scale does not work based on my definition of being a geek. if you are a car nut and know all about cars, etc then, to me, you are a car geek. You can be a geek about anything so star trek has nothing to do with it.

I do love my gadgets though... my ipod, my smart phone, etc etc. But I love my firearms and power tools just as much. I can fix the car, rewire the house and cut down a tree all in the same weekend.

If you take the dictionary definition of geek as, "An unfashionable or socially inept person"

or

"A person with an eccentric devotion to a particular interest: "a computer geek""

 

then yeah, I'm fashionable enough for a 42 yr old, fairly gregarious and chirpy most of the time.

 

And I love music. Hardly eccentric.
