hughes&kettner
Not taking into consideration if you like the songs or performance on one record better, only the overall guitar sound from dear old Lerxt. LocalsBandGuy
Different Stages! Bringing back the Marshalls put the guts back in his sound. I'm a G&L through Rivera amps guy, but Alex sounds at his best with a LP and tube distortion ala Marshall or H&K. It's not as clearly defined of a sound like the Signature and GK days, but it has BALLS, and in the end Rush is a HARD ROCK group that needs hard rockin' tones. Just listen to The Analog Kid on DS......you can feel that tone.

Mr Rush
Show of Hands by far. Went to 4 shows that tour and still today my FAV Rush tour! Had front row right in front of Alex for one of those gigs. Wow!!

rushfanNlv
ESL. He did so much with the technology available at that time. ESL, to me, is the Lerxt signature sound. I would have loved to have seen them live on this tour.
dayglow76
The old analog chorus and echos used on exit stage left are unbeatable. Lerxst could easily go back to this using a switching system that incorporates the old analog pedals into his existing rack setup like Gilmour.
