I think it's more likely than not that there will eventually be another album, and that there's even a reasonable chance that it will be good. biggrin.gif

But then, I also love Geddy's voice as it is now, so what do I know. I think the vocals on Clockwork Angels are emotive and wonderful. Live, I find Geddy's voice to range from adequate to thrilling. Perhaps it's the determination he puts into it that I find appealing, but there's definitely an energy and an emotional quality in his singing over the last several years that really gets me, and usually outweighs technical shortcomings. I could spend all day listening to 21st-century Geddy sing. And sometimes do!

He sounds great on CA - given lots of rest time, plenty of time for multiple takes, studio wizardry, etc.

I think his voice live now is at BEST adequate.

There are many things about which you and I will never agree, Gary. smile.gif

No way RUSH release an album called Blackjack, sounds like Roll the Bones 2...

They might if its there 21st studio album. Besides if they released an album called Presto & Fly By Night I don't think BlackJack is that far off!

Let's be honest, his vocals are deteriorating every tour. It's not about hating his voice (I love Geddy's voice), it's about his voice just not being able to cut it on a tour after all these years. And when it's bad, it's REALLLY bad.

I think that's an overstatement, Goob.

Even on his worst night he doesn't sound terrible. He is able to bring it for just about every show.

I personally thought he sounded pretty bad on the R30 dvd, yet for the entire Snakes and Arrows tour I thought he delivered some of his best live vocals ever.

I have a feeling we are going to be pleasantly surprised on this tour. his voice is very strong on CA, and I don't hear alot of studio wizadry there.

Alex even mentioned that they wont be doing any back to back shows so Ged can keep his voice rested.
