New Digital Man
This awesome track, The Body Electric apparently not played live since 1985 and it's a great song that needs some love! Check out this rare recording from GUP tour;

ReflectedLight
i think it's an ok tune but i don't think they'll play it. geddy's steinberger really sucked.
micgtr71
I listened to this today. This would be a fantastic choice from the synth era.
sdhonda
Out of all the songs from G\P, this is probably the least likely to be played (and frankly, it's not very good).

losingit2k
Its a great song from GUP, however there are many other songs I rather hear from GUP before the Body Electric Mainly: Kid Gloves After Images the Enemy Within
drbirdsong
I'll take anything from Grace Under Pressure except Distant Early Warning or Red Sector A. They played those two enough.

Snaked
While I agree DEW and RSA have been played a lot I will take ANYTHING off P/g! and/or PoW and be very happy
metaldad
Better than Dreamline or Bravado
Tombstone Mountain
Really suuprised the band made a video for that song to begin with. not a bad song, just not the strongest of the cuts from that album, and the strongest cuts aren't really THAT amazing. Wouldn't bother me if they just skipped this album altogether and played something else...like Territories or Middletown Dreams. Nope, Body Electric doesn't move the needle at all. GUP1771
There are so many better songs to my ears on that album that I'd rather want to hear. The Enemy Within topping that list, but also Distant Early Warning, Afterimage, Red Sector A, and even Between the Wheels (which I haven't seen live although it was done recently). Regardless, it would be nice to see Grace Under Pressure get some play time this tour.
goose
Enemy Within would be better.

BrightAntennae
Not a song that translates well live...IMO. I'd much rather hear Afterimage.
micgtr71
The Enemy Within would be a better choice from this album. Afterimage would be fantastic, though I would be surprised to ever hear this live.
New Digital Man
QUOTE (micgtr71 @ Aug 7 2012, 05:34 AM) The Enemy Within would be a better choice from this album. Afterimage would be fantastic, though I would be surprised to ever hear this live. Well Geddy has said that he wants to concentrate on playing bass rather than keys these days and as Afterimage has no bass guitar on it i think it seems unlikely they would choose to include it in the set list and of course we all know of the darker side of the song that has a certain meaning on a personal level within the band! Great song though!
Tombstone Mountain
QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Aug 5 2012, 06:33 PM) i think it's an ok tune but i don't think they'll play it. geddy's steinberger really sucked. It rocked on The Weapon. Bring it back!!! The Steinberger I mean...
LocalsBandGuy
GUP is my favorite Rush album, and I'd love to hear anything off of it again, but The Body Electric would by my LAST choice. I'm betting RSA will return, as Geddy has said many times he likes to play it.

Distant Signals
My Rush band plays The Body Electric. And The Enemy Within, Distant Early Warning, Afterimage and Between The Wheels also
