Teddy Thompson - Separate Ways - magnificent, Dad must be proud

Mark Lanegan & Isobel Campbell - Ballad Of The Broken Seas - Mr. Lanegan always impresses

David Gilmour - On An Island - OK

Elbow - Cast of Thousands - Better than the debut, as good as Leaders of The Free World

Bowie - Ziggy & Heroes - finally replacing the cassettes. God, Ziggy is such a perfect album. I'd forgotten all about it.

In an act of sheer originality that no-one else on TRF would think of doing in a million years, I've just gone out and bought an album by some guitarist called David Gilmour.

The album is called "On An Island".

It's very good.

Iron Maiden - Rock in Rio dvd

A very good Live show but they need to release Maiden in England and Live after Death on DVD.

This IM release is quite good, but I prefer Death on the Road.

My latest purchase, though, is Fates Warning-Live in Athens DVD.

Great stuff! Recommend!

FYE is one of the best used stores I have ever been to, but it is also one of the worst new stores ever. I was at the mall today for something else and so I popped in there quickly...under David Bowie they had the two disc Ziggy Stardust 30th anniversary edition for $79. Yes, you read that right. 79 bucks. Then they had David Live, 2005 two-disc reissue, perfectly mint condition, used for $9.99.

I bought one of them. 50 points to whoever can guess which one.
