ColdFireYYZ
QUOTE (MCM @ Nov 10 2011, 08:43 PM) Styx - Regeneration This has to be the dumbest thing they put out. I like the current lineup but they shouldn't be rerecording old hits. Its almost like they're trying to erase their past. However Lorelei does sound cool with JY singing. You are not far off the mark, but I do love what Lawrence Gowan did with Queen of Spades and I was on a buying spree. I'd be a lot happier if they'd get off the road for awhile and record some new music.

Cyclorama is one of my favorite Styx albums so I'd be happy if they took some time to record but I doubt it would sell well. They probably figure it wouldn't be worth it since only a small group of hardcore fans would buy it.

Cyclorama is middle of the pack for me as far as Styx albums are concerned, strangely tho it seems to be improving with age. It's a solid album. Correct, there is no money in new music for them, their dollars are in touring and their fan base is quite splintered, not even all of the hardcore Styx fans of old would buy new music with this lineup.
