I don't ever remember a hosting city spending so much time on the history of their country, but then I'm old The lighting of the torch, the fireworks and McCartney were awesome though. The Queen parachuting was funny Eclipse fireworks were awesome of course... but my favorite part was when Mike Oldfield came out and played. By far the best musical part.. the rest was electronic crap (other than the Digital Age part). I'd rate it 6.5-7 out of 10. 100-foot tall Voldemort was cool, too. Oh and McCartney rocked as well.
