CA in my mind is the best Rush album since Signals. I think it ranks as exactly 10 in my Top 10 Rush albums EVER. Where do YOU rank it???

I think it's better than anything from Presto through Snakes & Arrows and I think it's better than anything from Rush through Caress of Steel. So with that logic, it sits at number 10, at worst. Surprising. It's still middle of the pack, though.

Permanent Waves

Hemispheres

Moving Pictures

Signals

Power Windows

Grace Under Pressure

2112

Hold Your Fire

A Farewell To Kings

Clockwork Angels

10th for me. My top 5 have been set in stone for few decades now and will never change. Clockwork jumped over Snakes and Arrows for the 10th spot.

Believe it or not, I still am in the absorbing phase of this album (which will likely last until I see how these songs hold up live)... and I have not even tried to fit in this album with the grander and larger Rush body of work as a whole..

I can say that I love the album, very very much, and would say that it is very very likely to see this crack my top 10 (possibly even 5) but I am still not at a point to categorize it fully.

Yes. CA makes it in at # 9. Not bad.

For me, anything that comes remotely close to matching 1976-1984 is high praise. These guys were peaking during those 8 years.

Maybe better than RTB,

No maybe's about it... Wayyyy better then RTB by a long shot. yes.gif

I'm not sure yet as a top ten ranking for all time Rush albums. But it's still the best they done on a consistent song for song basis since CounterParts. And I think CA is by far, better then CP smile.gif

Dreamline alone takes a dump all over everything on CA. That alone makes me wonder if CA means more to me than that album, plus RTB has a few other strong songs, so for me it's very debatable considering I think most of CA is very boring.
