Van Halen
Sabbath

OK. Put your hands in the air where I can see them.

You have the right to remain silent. If you choose to give up that right . . .

Whatever happened to the overrated thread.... same premise...

The Who eh.gif

It's cool if you don't like The Who, but saying that they are overrated is a totally different story. dazed025.gif

There is nothing overrated in regards to The Who. notworthy.gif

I don't know why but I can't listen to Santana.

I can listen to one or two songs and I'm good for a few years.

No disrespect intended to his fans or to his (obvious) talent.

There is some kind of disconnect and it just doesn't work for me.

Guns N' Roses (Slash is talented though)

I feel the same way about Prince. The dude is extremely creative, and I saw him tearing it up on the guitar once, and I was thoroughly impressed. The dude can play. But I just can't get into his music. I respect the artist, but I just don't dig his music.

Well... Let's just say a lot and leave it at that.

+2

Other than Slipknot, most of the bands on my list were said already so it makes no difference if I say them anyway.

Some of you saying Huey Lewis, Mellencamp, etc....I think the OP meant bands that are popular still now. No one's liked Huey since 1987.

For the record, I still dig Huey Lewis.... smile.gif

And I really like The Doors (unlike many folks here).

The Ramones. Some of their stuff is OK in a Weird Al Yankovic curiousity way for me, but I just cannot understand the love some people have for them.

I think people like the fact that they were completely different than everything else out at the time. They were fresh, brash, and completely against the grain.

That said, I like the Ramones, but I can't listen to them for very long. It takes a small dose of the Ramones before I reach the RDA (that's recommended daily allowance wink.gif ) of Ramones music. Their music is very simple and gets old quickly.
