I freaking love the way Geddy sings this line. For some reason it just grabs me.

The last time he does it, where the music basically drops away, is probably the single worst vocal moment on the album to me. (no offense). It's a bit cringe worthy. It's the only place on the record where I feel that too. sad.gif Love the line and I like the way he's singing it elsewhere in the song, but when it's pretty much just him in that section....eeek.

With you 100% on this one. This album marks Ged's most consistent vocal performance since Power Windows.

I thought his voice was pretty good in Couterparts!

But I do agree, his voice is so raw and amazing in this album. Love it. laugh.gif

"The smell of flint and steel"

For some reason these lyrics stuck with me the most.

Yeah definitely. I particularly love Alex's guitar shadowing Ged's vocals when "shout to warn the crowd" starts. I can't put my finger on which song it sounds like to me though

Also, what's up with that little scream at 3:29?

This one didn't grab me right away but I'm all over it now. Love the guitar effect (mentioned in another thread) and Ged's vocal is a high point through the whole song. 1022.gif
