D3strukt
This album is pure gold. First time listening to DP. I've always liked them, but never got into them. Are they any good with Steve Morse?
treeduck
QUOTE (D3strukt @ Jun 15 2012, 01:59 AM) This album is pure gold. First time listening to DP. I've always liked them, but never got into them. Are they any good with Steve Morse? All the Morse ones are good. The best one though is the first one he did with them, Purpendicular. The other three are cool too though, perhaps Bananas might be the next best but Rapture of the Deep is very good too. Hey btw I notice Morse is doing the G3 tour with Vai and Satch: http://vip.g3tour.com/

ColdFireYYZ
The only Morse album I have is Bananas, which is really good. They were great live with him last year. The venue let people stand near the stage and I stood right in front of him for most of the show. He was amazing live.

driventotheedge
An absolute crime this band isn't in the RRHOF. In Rock is a great album.

RushCanuck
Deep Purple in Rock is an awesome, epic record. It featured, IMO, the best Purple lineup (Gillan, Glover, Lord, Blackmore and Paice). Gillan was in his singing prime. I agree, it's pure gold.

beherit
Everything from this album to Stormbringer is pretty good. This, Fireball and Machine Head, as well as Made in Japan, are the essential DP records in my eyes. Also, Burn is great.
