vital signz
I don't know if anyone else has noted this or not but there is no Pedlar 2 stating 'what do you lack' on either my iTunes download or on my CD's I purchased. Anyone else have this problem? Or is it universal? How about on the actual double album?
losingit2k
Yep, It wasn't on my CD as well! I didn't pay it much mind! I figured its an implied part of the story!. I don't really need to hear that guy wisper "What do youy lack? Again! If I did I could just copy from Clockwork Angels and add it to the end of Headlong flight, better to the beginning of BU2b2. Lerxster
Holy cow, it's not on my cd either! I never noticed. What a big faux pas.

I wonder if it was deliberate or an actual F@ck up! Now this is actually something worth bitching about and no-one except the OP has mentioned it and to tell you the truth...its no big lost! We heard the first one. We know what it would sound like!
GeddyRulz
"Faux pas"? Really? I'd say it was an intentional omission and no biggie, but that's me.
marblesmike
What exactly are you talking about? Where/when it this said?
syrinxstarman
If you read the synopsis for BU2B2, it sounds like the main character is recalling it from memory after Headlong Flight. Doesn't seem like it was ever meant to be repeated on the record.

malnar
I mentioned this in another thread a few days ago. I was hoping it was just the leak that I got that didn't have it. Maybe its a Rush in-joke... Q: What do you lack? A: ii - Pedlar

Checkster2112
I thought this was obvious. Just because its in the album booklet doesn't mean it is a lyric on the album. It isn't a mistake.

Merely Space
Kinda sounds to me like the Pedlar says "The days were dark and the nights were bright Hey man, I would never Trade tomorrow for today Yeah" Which everyone knows is just a fancy way of saying "What do you lack?"
vital signz
It is apparent to me that it was an error. I do not think it was omitted on purpose. The reason I say this is that the line is in quotations right after Clockwork Angels, and before The Anarchist early, and similarly in quotations after HF and BU2B2. The answer to the question gets pondered before BU2B2 as well. Quite the mystery.
OGr8imL84AD8inF8sBlackSedan
Not on my CD either and the transition from Headlong Flight to BU2B2 is anything but seamless. The first time I listened I had to rewind it 'cuz it sounded like a skip of some sort.
Dscrapre
I'm not hearing any skipping, but I don't hear the Pedlar either.
dtpoet
I hear it on my CD and also off my Iphone. Right at the 7:27 mark of the song "clockwork angels" - there's a little whisper that says, "What do you lack?" Do you hear it now? EmotionDetector
QUOTE (dtpoet @ Jun 13 2012, 10:14 PM) I hear it on mine Right at the 7:29, 7:30 mark of clockwork angels - there's a little whisper that says, "What do you lack?" Right...THAT one is on there. That's the Pedlar 1. I believe the OP is referring to the Pedlar 2...which is supposed to be between Headlong Flight and BU2B2.
