Seven Cities of Gold (hell yes!) 3. The Garden (beau-ti-ful) 4. The Anarchist (growing on me by the listen, love intro) 5. Wish them Well (stuck in my head, love the melody) 6. The Wreckers (great song, a bit repeatitive though) 7. Headlong Flight (could drop some, a bit long..bit of a chore to listen) 8. BU2B (nice re-mix) 9. Carnies (still too fresh to rank higher...for now) 10. Caravan (burned out at this point...no longer "thinking big") 11. Halo Effect (too fresh to my ears to judge) 12. DistantEarlyRushFan Posted June 17, 2012 Share Posted June 17, 2012 "Clockwork Angels" (proggy, excellence) "Carnies" (\m/ biggest surprise for me, unique style) "The Anarchist" (really quite a throwback track, recalls signals) "The Garden" (a stronger ballad rush has never done) "Headlong Flight" (solid rocker, so much energy from all three members) "Seven Cities of Gold" (a grower for sure, it's really just epic and vintage rush) "Caravan" (great jam section, still good) "BU2B" (slightly not as good as Caravan...a little too repetitive) "The Wreckers" (dramatic, unlike anything Rush has done, turns out good!) "Wish Them Well" (great message, catchy) "Halo Effect" (good breather in the album, doesn't suck) "BU2B2" (dramatic transition track) I love how everyone qualifies their list by saying "no offense to the lower tracks, this is still a great album" ...just goes to show how much respect the holy triumvirate deserve! Lost In Xanadu Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 The more I listen to the album, the more impossible I find it to rank them. Each song paints quite an image, especially after reading the liner notes. For me, it's like asking someone that just finished a great book, "Which chapter was your favorite?" I can't do it.
